Prod: When closing an alert without a comment you see 'null'

when clicking on the text 'open' on the view alerts page, you see the
word 'null' in comments, if you hit save from there with no changes, it will
save null. If you add comments with deleting null like 'nulladding comment',
it will save without the null.

Null should never be seen.
