Tomcat redirects HTTPS requests without a terminating forward slash to HTTP

Currently, accessing an HTTPS URL without a terminating slash (e.g. https://realm.admaxlocal.com/reseller ) results in a redirect to the address with a slash, but on http. It should redirect to the same protocol with which is was requested. This is most likely a Tomcat configuration issue.
