Unable to access "Daily Merchant Reporting" though I could access the authentication screen

Steps:

1) Create a tunnel to the server from which the reports needs to be accessed
2) Access the report using the script
http://qaamlntttest.aq-qa-tomcat1:2525/sapi/rest/reports/2013/08/22/DAILY_RESELLER_PERFORMANCE_REPORT.csv

Actual: The Authentication screen appears.
Once the user name and password is entered UI throws the attached screen shot error.

Error in tomcat log shows "missing username...." though the username and password were right.
