      Description

      For the purposes of this ticket, the word "manually" in the title is meant only to distinguish this tagging from "auto-tagging" which is a feature of the search engines themselves. No human intervention should be required to add these tags to the destination urls after this story(but human tagging may be supported by future stories).

      Due to Bing having no way to get match type data into Google Analytics, we will be adding a custom utm_term parameter to all destination URLs for all distributions.(I have confirmed that

      {matchtype} and {keyword} works on Google, and Bing, and YJ SS API)

      We will also need to add utm_campaign, utm_source and utm_medium to enable Google ad clicks to be properly tracked by third party conversion tracking like Telmetrics.

      The parameters to be added is as follows:

      http://somedomain.com?utm_campaign={campaignid}&utm_source=[DISTRIBUTION]&utm_medium=cpc&utm_term={matchtype}

      _

      {keyword}

      [DISTRIBUTION] should be replaced with one of google, bing or yj. All other utm parameters will be left to the search engine to autopopulate.

      Please note, in the above example, the {matchtype} and {keyword}

      are separated by an underscore with no whitespace. This is because the underscore is an unreserved character for urlencoding. Jira is unwilling to allow this to be noformatted for some reason.
