Merchant ID will accept apostrophes but won't save the Merchant

I tried to type in a merchant ID with an apostrophe in it and saved the merchant. I got a 'Can't save, bad request' error. I took the apostrophe out and I could save it. I tried a couple of other characters and they seem to work. I'll try some others when I have time.

We should mark the ID in red and throw out the error icon if hte user tries to save with a bad character.
